ROSS GO (PRODUCER/CRATE DIGGER)

ROSS GO

Ross Go has been a purveyor of all things funky ever since he entered a sketchy pawn shop in the late 90ʼs and rescued an old sampler. This started a lifelong obsession with rescuing lost things - including old forgotten songs - and giving them new life.   Ross Go has come a long way since that first sampler and has been adding his signature funky-flare to lost jams and concocting a steady stream of head nodding edits and remixes ever since.

Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, where the weather is basically raining all the time,

Ross Go spends plenty of time indoors drinking tall can IPAʼs and scouring the Interweb for obscure loops and dusty drum sounds for his next track. In spite of a day job, Ross Go has an addiction to finding, recycling and re-inventing music with a knack for taking old cranky loops and churning them into hip hop infused funk tracks. Although he isn’t afraid to branch out to other genres … all of his ‘other genre tracks are mostly terrible and unreleased.

With an audio engineering background Ross Go spends countless hours perfecting the exact amount of reverb to add to each hi hat and isn’t afraid to say that sometimes there’s such a thing as too much cowbell. It’s this attention to detail that undoubtedly has started to garner him some attention from a few of the industry’s big deals.
