Broken Poetz are rappers MYSTERO and D.KNOW, hailing from Andover (Hampshire) and were formed in 2012.

Broken Poetz are known for serving up deep, emotional and soulful hip-hop. Their music is a melting pot of soul, jazz and blues which all comes together to form a truly unique sound. It is real, honest rap with a message.

After releasing their debut EP ‘The Pen, The Pad & The Thing’s We Had’ in 2013, they began playing shows all over the UK, supporting acts such as Split Prophets and The Mouse Outfit along the way.

2016 saw the release of their album ‘Soul Searching’ on Killabeatz Recordings. This release was a huge success and was what really put their names on the map. The album features an array of rapping talent such as Upfront MC (Split Prophets) Twizzy (3 Headed Beast) and Cutta Chase, and also the bluesy overtones of the impressive CW Jones. Working with established producers such as Hozay, Runone & Molotv (High Focus) and Jabbathakut provided the album with some of the most soulful hiphop beats around, indeed it has been called ‘Soul music with a modern twist’ or alternatively a hiphop album that ‘offers a nostalgic look back to the golden age of soul music.

The album received huge support, most notably from the likes of Mistajam on Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra, Beat Cleaver (Radio 1Xtra) Jurassic 5, and DJ Format. ‘Soul Searching’ also received many positive reviews by music outlets such as Wordplay Magazine, Virgin Music and DJ Mag, and the album went on to sell copies in over 23 countries which won them a whole raft of new fans across the globe.
