Hipsta (aka Adam Ellis) Created his alter ego to get close to those who feel they are outside of the cultural mainstream.

Find him in Shoreditch happily snipping off man buns and demolishing twirly moustaches for a giggle. That’s when he’s not producing absolute bangers in the comfort of East Grinstead. He uses his producer alias and name to get close to gentlemen with silly beards, causes trouble then steals their record collections when they’re not looking. Let’s face it, they won’t listen to them.

This vigilante has been DJ-ing since the mid 90's where he found his penchant for house and trance music. It was this time he became an ambassador for Dready clothing, over came an addiction for incense and was in the Guinness book of world records for having the most stickers on his rollie tin.

Over the last decade he has made numerous topless appearances Dj’ing in bars and clubs around the South East of England. From sipping alpaca milk Lattes in east London and fingering dusty crates of vinyl, he has covered multiple genres in his DJ career including Electro, Breaks, Funk and Hip Hop.

This gave him the opportunity to manage regular high energy nights that created good vibes and a place for the dance loving masses to let all their hairs hang out. It’s during these years he found his passion for all things breaks. Not content with spinning them, he’s now mastered crafting them!

Hipsta reached the dizzy heights of the Juno Download charts with his first EP and is consistently developing bonds with established and up and coming artists. His success in multi genre production and frequent collaborations with CIF’s in house Kiwi has seen him mould new school with that classic old school vibe. These ingredients combined have assisted him in continually making exciting and funky riddims to bop your bonce to.

Now residing with Cuttin' It Fine expect more neck snapping bangers and collaborations. An artist to be followed and fraternised with. Just don’t leave your fixed gear bike or sushi around him.
